Massularia acuminata (also known as pako ijebu or orin ijebu) is an herb native to West Africa that has been used by herbalists as an aphrodisiac and to increase strength and endurance. Modern studies have shown it has a positive effect on the production of testosterone in the male body, raising levels of endogenous testosterone and luteinizing hormones, which can promote muscle growth and increase sexual arousal. Massularia is often taken by athletes and bodybuilders to increase strength and shorten recovery time after trainings. Used as an aphrodisiac, it can prolong erection and delay ejaculation. Massularia should not be used by females.
