"Stainless Steel" finish provides wire rope and cable with good corrosion resistance.

The more strands and more wires per strand, the more flexible the cable and the higher the cost. 
The greater diameter of the cable and each wire, the greater the breaking strength.

1x19 stainless strand, Non-Flexible, is perfect for stainless steel cable railing, balustrading, yacht rigging and other decorative applications where flexibility is not important.

6x7 construction ropes have excellent resistance to wear. Large diameter wires make the rope fairly "stiff". 
6x19 type has the excellent balance of abrasion and fatigue resistance qualities.

6x37 construction ropes, flexible or "soft", superior bending fatigue life with reduced abrasion resistance, often used in overhead lifting.
