Brazing Characteristics
Sanhuan Low-Silver/Phos-Copper-Silver brazing alloy SAgP-2 is a copper rich, intermediate temperature, brazing filler metal which has good mobility and processing property. The phosphorous content form its "self-fluxing" properties when used on copper. However, when joint copper base alloys, such as brass or bronze, braze with flux SFB-102 is recommended. The level of phosphorous also changes the fluidity and ductility of the material. The greater the percentage of phosphorous in the filler metal the more fluid the material will be. Phos-Copper filler metal should not be used on ferrous or nickel-based alloys or on copper-nickel alloys containing a nickel content in excess of 10%, as brittle intermetallic compounds are formed at the filler metal-base metal interface. Corrosion resistance is comparable to that of copper except when exposed to sulfurous containing compounds, especially at elevated temperatures.

Application
Sanhuan Phos-Copper-Sliver brazing alloy SAgP-2 is a economical, low silver alloy, it designed to broaden the melting range of Sanhuan SCuP-2. It has the ability to fill wide joints clearance at the lower end of its brazing range. At the high end of the brazing range, it is more fluid. Joint clearance of 0.002in. to 0.005in. [0.05mm to 0.13mm] are recommended.
