Thidiazuron is a kind compound with special plant growth regulation, and it is used for cotton defoliation and ripening. It is a new type efficient of cytokinin, and it can better promote the plant bud differentiation for tissue culture. 

Physics and chemical properties:

Light Yellow to brown powder, melting point is 213 °C(differentiation), vapor pressure is 4 nPa at 25°C. Soluble is 200mg/L in water at 23°C. 

Application: 

Thidiazuron is used as a defoliant on cotton planting,  it is absorbed through leaves of the cotton, and affects three major plant hormones: ethylene, auxin and cytokinin, and can promote the organization separation between petioles and stems form naturally, and fall off, it is a very good defoliant. 

Rang of application: 

It is used for defoliant of cotton and peanut, and it is also used for fruit-expander of the grape.
