Blistered frozen brine shrimp (Artemia spp.) became available in the late 80’ties and remain a popular item for feeding aquarium fish till today. They can be fed to either freshwater fish or marine fish, amphibians, aquatic invertebrates and corals, which easily recognize the brine shrimp as prey items.

Our brine shrimp are harvested daily at dawn from solar evaporation ponds in the nearby saltworks from early May till late October and transported to our facility where they are cleaned, rinsed, packaged, frozen and stored. All brine shrimp harvested on a certain day are processed and frozen on the same day.

Available in sleeved (cardboard) and sealed (aluminum foil) blisters (rigid vinyl) in the following sizes:

• SKU 65110: 100 g (3.5 OZ), 30 cubes. Our most popular brine shrimp item for ages!
• SKU 65114: 50 g (1.75 OZ), 36 mini-cubes. Well-suited for feeding inhabitants of nano or small aquaria.
• SKU 65116: 200 g (7 OZ), 60 cubes. Extra value pack.
• SKU 65117: 907 g (32 OZ) Roll-a-Cubes. A rolled-up blister containing 216 cubes packed in a sturdy carton. For the serious aquarist and professional aquarium service personnel.

All blisters are frozen individually in our quick-freezer. Each sleeve contains a lot code and date of expiry for tracking purposes. Samples of each lot are submitted to an accredited laboratory for Salmonella analyses before being sold.
