1. IR 504 Rice characteristics:
- Vietnamese long grain white rice 504 rice is cultivated in the fields of the Mekong Delta region and has grown rapidly to millions of hectares in the following years thanks to many advantages such as high yield, adaptability on many cultivated terrains. Especially short-term harvest season should push the output and lower the price of rice more affordable to people. The Northern people once known this variety as Southern rice.

2. Storage:
- Keep in a cool and dry place, tightly closed after opening the bag
- Cover tightly after opening the bag, to avoid insects from invading and strange smell.
3. How to cook:
- Measure rice according to needs. Wash rice 2-3 times with clean water
- Make water in proportion: 1 kg of rice / 1.1 liters of water
- Do not open the lid of the saucepan during cooking until after the rice has boiled for 15 minutes
- Number of crops per year: 3 (Feb to April - Winter Spring, June to August - Summer Autumn and November to December - Autumn Winter).
- Growing areas: Provinces in the Mekong Delta.
