working principle:

The working principle of drum chipper mainly relies on its unique mechanical structure and power drive mode. The drum (knife roller) is driven by a motor to rotate at high speed, and the drum is equipped with a flying knife. When the wood is fed into the cutting machine through the feeding port, it is pressed by the upper and lower feeding rollers and fed to the cutting mechanism at a certain speed. When the wood comes into contact with the rotating flying knife, it is sliced into pieces with the high-speed rotation of the knife. Multiple square through holes on the outer edge of the drum allow qualified cut pieces to pass through, which then fall through the mesh holes and are discharged from the bottom. For larger pieces, they will be cut again inside the machine until they reach the qualified size.

The drum type chip cutting machine mainly consists of the following parts:
1. Body: Made of high-strength steel plates welded together, it is the supporting foundation of the entire machine.
2. Knife roller: Multiple flying knives are installed on the knife roller (the number depends on the diameter of the knife roller, ranging from 2 pieces to up to 8 pieces), and the flying knives are fixed to the knife roller through specially manufactured flying knife bolts and pressure blocks.
3. Upper and lower feeding mechanism: composed of feeding interface, upper and lower feeding rollers, and feeding gap adjustment mechanism, responsible for feeding wood into the cutting mechanism and controlling the size of the cut wood chips.
4. Hydraulic system: used for starting the cover, replacing blades, and lifting the upper feeding roller assembly during maintenance.
