3001(ONU) combines the latest advancements in fiber optic and chip technologies with feature-rich network management controls to give the most advanced, yet affordable FTTx solution. It integrates one 100Base-FX WAN port, four 10/100Base-TX LAN ports for direct connection of up to four computers, and up to two POTS telephony ports to provide telephone services. The functions of the 3001(ONU) Ethernet switch permit all the connected computers / terminals to be able to communicate with each other and to share with each other the internet, the resources and files, such as music, digital pictures, and other documents within the user’s premises. All the computers can also share a printer which is connected anywhere in the house. 3001(ONU) makes it possible to play head-to-head computer games freely within the household, or against Internet opponents at a speed of 100 times faster than ADSL.
