Description of SF Flotation Cell
Froth flotation utilizes the difference in phsico-chemical surface properties of particles of various minerals. In the flotation cell, air is fed into the slurry to produce air bubbles that naturally upwards and to produce froth on top of the slurry. Separation of the particles of valuable minerals from the ore is achieved when particles of the valuable minerals preferentially attached to air bubbles and are floated to the surface of the slurry. From the froth layer, the particles are removed by rotating froth paddle. The remainder of the slurry exits the cell through an outlet in the lower part of the cell. 

Application
