The design of this dilatation catheter does not incorporate a lumen for distal dye injections or distal pressure measurements.

Description:

The proximal shaft is composed of a polymer coated stainless steel tube. The semi-compliant balloon material allows appropriate dilatation while maintaining control of balloon size. Two radiopaque marker bands on the integral wire are aligned with the balloon shoulders. The lumen in the tip section of the catheter accepts a standard 0.014 inch PTCA guide wire. Markers are located on the proximal shaft to indicate catheter position relative to the tip of either a brachial or femoral guiding catheter.
