Testing is introduced
Since January 1, 2011, GSO has implemented mandatory G Mark certification for toys exported to seven countries in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, The Sultanate of Oman, The Kingdom of Bahrain, Yemen). The toy must be certified and marked with G mark before customs clearance. At present, some domestic toy enterprises cannot clear the customs due to the lack of G mark.
Effective July 1, 2016, gulf States' technical regulations for certain low-voltage electrical equipment and supplies will impose GCC certification requirements. After the implementation of the Regulation, some low-voltage electrical equipment manufactured locally or imported into the market of the seven Gulf states (including the Uae, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Yemen) must meet the safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements listed in the Technical Regulation. Regulation BD-142004-01 has been fully enforced since July 1, 2016. After January 1, 2017, certified low-voltage electronic and electrical equipment manufactured locally or imported into the Gulf country must be stamped with a G mark with a QR code and a license issuing authority number.
