Surface insulation resistance (referred to as SIR) is widely used to assess pollutant effects on the assembly reliability.
Compared with other methods, SIR has the advantage in addition to detection of local pollution, can also be measured ions and non-ionic pollutants on the printed circuit board (PCB) Reliability.
