The working way of PU coagulation line is dipping the fabric(woven fabric, nonwoven, etc.) into liquid PU material, coagulating, extruding, ironing and drying it. After these procedure, the surface of base is even, tight, which feels like natural leather. Forming porosity leather membrana during coagulation process is the main feature of this technology, which is poles apart from direct coating. So, the products made by coagulation line has excellent performance, which make the handing feeling and structure is similar to natural leather.

Main structure

The main structure of coagulation line consists of fabric unwinder, accumulator, dipping tank, pre-coagulation tank, ironing roller, coater, coagulation tank, washing tank, oven, cooling roller and winder. 

Technical points

Based on different fabric, the liquid material inside the dipping tank can be water or water with DMF(concentration of DMF is up to the fabric variety and coating thickness). Moisture in the fabric will be dried by squeezing roller and ironing roller. Generally, the dipping tank is cuboid structure, manufactured by stainless steel material, with several guiding rollers inside. By dipping into tank, the fabric can contact the mixed PU liquor fully. After pretreatment, fabric is coated with PU material evenly by coating head, and then passing through the coagulation tank. Normally, the coagulation tank is horizontal type, with 3 layer, or 5 layer, or even 7 layers, which makes “S” shape inside the tank. The length of coagulation is around 22Mts, so the fabric passes about 110Mts in the tank. The coagulation tank is made by stainless steel, and enhanced by channel steel outside. The squeezing rollers in entrance & exit part, and the reflexed rollers are driving roller, the others are driven roller. The driving roller controls the tension of the coagulation tank.

Some quantity of DMF is left inside the fabric after coagulation, then we need washing tank to take the DMF out.

After washing, we need to dry the fabric. In order to pick up the speed of drying, we use ironing roller before oven.
