Roadphalt SBS modified asphalt stabilizer is a kind of high performance asphalt additives which is researched and developed by Shanghai Roadphalt Technology Co., Ltd. The main effect is to improve thermal stability of modified asphalt, and solve the problem of storage segregation.

II. Product Features:

 

1. It’s used in improving storage stability and softening point of modified asphalt, reducing dosage of SBS and improving comprehensive index of modified asphalt. After adding the  stabilizer, a stable phase interface adsorptive layer is formed between the polymer phase in modified asphalt and based asphalt, which reducing surface tension of phase interface, increasing affinity between two phase, and improving compatibility between two-phase.

 

2. To overcome the shortcoming of low softening point from modified asphalt, the softening point of modified asphalt can be increased by more than 10℃ under usual conditions, and keep the softening point of modified asphalt from reducing.

 

3. It can keep the modified asphalt from segregation during storage and transportation. The modified asphalt storage period can be up to 60 days.

 

4. The product has safety and environmental protection performance, as a non flammable product, it is stable at room temperature, non-toxic, without peculiar smell, high flash point.

 

III. The Dosage and Method

Dosage: 1.5-4.0‰ of the total asphalt

Temperature: 175-185℃

Method: Mix polymer and asphalt by colloid mill for 1-5 hours, then add the product, and continue mixing for 1-8 hours. The mixing time should be subject to laboratory formulation, dosage is 1.5-2.5‰ of the total asphalt. The product can also be evenly added into matrix asphalt with polymer at the same time, which is milled by colloid mill after adding, then put them into development tank to develop, dosage is 2.5-4.0‰ of the total asphalt.

 

IV. Storage and Transportation

 

Storage: It can be stored at room temperature.

Transportation: Convenient to transport, no need special vehicle.
