Composite smart card
Composite smart card refers to a simple combination of smart cards and magnetic stripe cards, or a simple combination of RF cards and contact cards, or a simple combination of any two of low-frequency cards, high-frequency cards, and ultra-high frequency cards, as well as a combination of high-frequency cards with two protocols. They do not share chipsets or COS, but are simply combined together.
（1） Concept of composite smart cards:
For a simple combination of smart cards and magnetic stripe cards, or a simple combination of RF cards and contact cards, or a simple combination of any two of low-frequency cards, high-frequency cards, and ultra-high frequency cards, as well as a combination of high-frequency cards with two protocols, it is called a composite card. They do not share a chipset or COS, but are simply combined together.
For example, the combination of MF1 card (or ID card) and SLE4442 card is the combination of RF card and contact card; The combination of ID card and MF1 card refers to the combination of low-frequency card and high-frequency card; The combination of MF1 card (ID card) and magnetic stripe card (low or high magnetic stripe) is the combination of RF card and magnetic stripe card. These combinations, with their respective chips, coils, and magnetic strips, are basically independent of each other.
At present, with the increasing application scenarios of smart cards and the need to avoid replacing old systems and meet the needs of various special applications, in order to improve the overall efficiency of the system, the use of composite cards is gradually increasing.
